Teacher Physics 1st degree, 0,2 – 0,5 fte (temporary)
Ready to inspire the next generation of global thinkers? Do you love exploring the wonders of physics with curious, internationally minded students? Can you turn complex theories into engaging lessons that spark critical thinking and real-world connections? At Rivers International School Arnhem, we’re looking for a Physics teacher who can challenge and motivate our diverse DP students. Sounds like you? Keep reading—we’d like to meet you!
Your job
Physics is more than just formulas and equations—it’s the foundation of how the world works. And you love bringing that to life for your international students! Whether it’s discussing the laws of motion, exploring electromagnetism, or diving into quantum mechanics, you make complex concepts clear, engaging, and relevant.
You’ll be teaching upper secondary DP students who are eager to be challenged. They ask questions, think critically, and enjoy making connections between theory and real-world applications. You’ll guide them through the curriculum, help them develop strong analytical skills, and possibly support them with research projects or exam preparation.
You teach Physics following the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, ensuring students gain a deep understanding of the subject while developing the skills they need for higher education and beyond.
You are…
… a teacher who understands that our students come from all over the world. Some were born in the Netherlands but have lived abroad for many years, while others were born abroad and are now living in the Netherlands. You know how to use these diverse experiences to enrich their learning.
You understand that international students often need different kinds of support, both academically and socially. You are patient, a good listener, and know how to create a safe and inclusive learning environment. You encourage them to reach their full potential, no matter their background, and you know how to embrace cultural diversity to ensure everyone feels heard and understood.
